What is the difference between a semi-automatic and a fully automatic biopsy needle?
In a semi-automatic needle the physician manually cocks the spring and then fires the trigger, allowing more control over timing and depth. A fully automatic needle fires both the inner stylet and outer cannula with a single trigger press.
Is the Med Plus 16G needle suitable for liver biopsy?
Yes, the needle is designed for soft-tissue biopsies including liver, kidney, and prostate. It is not suitable for bone biopsies.
Can a coaxial needle be used with this size?
